Health and Safety

Obviously when participating in Adventurous Activities most people are very concerned with the Health and Safety implications. At West View Project we take that responsibilty from you and when taking part in an activity at one of our sites your group will be fully insured and under the care of our experienced and well trained staff team, this also applies if we are providing transport for you. If you are visiting us with a school or youth group and need to complete educational visit forms then our insurace details are available in the downloads section of this site. If you are a Hartlepool based school or youth centre the process is simplified as we are pre approved by the Educational Visits Panel.

We are an Adventure Activity Licensing Association (AALA) approved centre and details of our registration with them can be found by visiting http://www.aals.org.uk/aals/provider_search.php and searching for West View Project. Some of the activity we offer is not regulated by this scheme but we still apply the same rigourous procedures to planning and preparing for these as for regulated activity.

We also have recently achieved recogntion for the work we do with the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge, recognising us as a provider of quality, safely managed educational experiences for young people.

If you have any specific questions then feel free to contact us.
